Turkey call with the Turbonetics S/T
I was in the market for an aftermarket BOV for my turbonetics S/t kit. why? cuz my raptor made turkey calls (flutter) everytime i shifted. Dont know why, but it did, even at full boost..well, i called turbonetics and they said the screw was on too tight. ( i didnt install it) i was told to turn the screw on top counter-clockwise. i did and man...talk about a BOV! IM the one to complain and ***** alot, but when at full, i can actually hear a PPPSSSHHH! not a flutter that sounds like something ive only heard on huntin' channels. well anyways, it turns out that the raptor BOV does sound good, and if anyone is haveing the same problem, try that...i know we got tons of peeps having the same noice.....
thanks for reading my pointless, but very informative thread...

I have my screw turned so far out that it's only in about 3 threads. Point is it clearly doesn't contact the spring in the BOV, so I am effectively adjusted all the way out and mine still sounds turkey call-ish. I like the BOV, but if flutter indicates improper operation, mine is FUBAR.

I talked to someone recently that said a BOV being too loose could cause fluttering. Everyone else says too tight causes it. At this point, I'm going to take the car out and drive it with some tools and make adjustments to see if I can get it working right. People always look at me funny when I come off the gas like "Dude, nice looking car, but what the hell is wrong with it????"

The Raptor is a great BoV. If it flutters or whistles, it is installed incorrectly.

Well I wouldn't say that it would be installed "incorrectly" since they just bolt it on without making any adjustments to the screw on top of the BOV...
At first it just made a huge PSSHHH, so I tickered with it by turning it counter clockwise a couple of turns... Now I have the somewhat turkey call flutter
Other's who have driven my car liked it alot better that way and so do I
