Default Vortech Blow-off/Bypass Part Number

Hi

Just got my Vortech S/C delivered and doing a parts check. The parts list in Install Manual says I should have:

- 8D204-011 Race Blowoff Valve-Blue

whereas in the kit which was delivered I have:
- 8D204-010 which seems to correspond accoording to the 'Maxflow Race Bypass and Blowoff Valve Installation Instructions' in the box it came in to a Bypass valve.

The Instructions actually say:
Bypass Valve 8D204-001 through -010
Blowoff Valve 8D204-011 through -020

Anybody shed any light on this before I get mad with my supplier.

Thanks

The supplier has just got back to me and apparently:

"The 350z kit is now being shipped with a race bypass valve as opposed to a blowoff valve. The part listing in the instruction manual has not been updated to reflect this change"

So in case anybody questions it, there has apparently been a change. Indeed in the Vortech Installation Manual it does refer to installation of the 'Bypass Valve'.

This type of issue does cause confusion and concern; really Vortech should at least be consistent within their own manual

Have you had your kit a while jpc?
