Exactly! With my Borla TD on the built motor at 10.5 psi I made 438whp and 474trq. Time for 3".

A sure sign of a restrictive exhasut setup, or too much timing retard, is a VQ 35 that makes significantly more trq than hp...assuming they arent running an RPM based boost strategy (ie...more boost down low, and tapering off up top).

We'll get that thing dialed in. I wish you were closer to us!!

At least that borla is more free flowing than the EVO II.....I needed 16.5psi to make your numbers. When you getting the 3"? The car feels completely different with the new exhaust!

Don't think so.....it was just as hot and humid as in Miami. I was wondering if I even left Miami.

Probably not for a few weeks. I'm going to go ahead and sell the borla first.

I have a Borla as well, but as my built LB is currently in process I am contemplateing a novel "active" exhaust idea.

a) adding the APS 3.5" TPs or equivalent , when available
b) replacing all the 2.25" piping up to the Borla rear dual inlet muffler with 3".
c) replace the 2.25" resonators with either Borla XR-1s or Magnaflow rounds
d) splice weld these bypasses between the inlet side and exhaust side pipe , one per side of the rear dual entry muffler. These bypasses can be positioned "inline" of the 3" pipe and spliced/ tee'd into the 2.25" pipes of the Borla muffler.
e) replace Borla tips with Magnaflow 3-3.5 inch tips.

Here is the link for the boost operated bypass valves. They can be bought without the T-pipe, so they can be spliced in with V-clamps.

http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me...egory_Code=BCS

The attempt here is to retain quiet Borla operation under low boost and
open up flow to a nearly straight "resonated" dual pipe , thru the "same" exhaust tips under ~>7psi of boost.

If I pursue , I'll eventually post pics and dyno comparos.

Jorge,

Whats up man. Its Ruben from that dyno night. I was the guy who got to go for a ride in your car. Man that thing is a beast. I hate driving my car now because of you. Its just not the same........

Well for anyone wondering how his car was without the new exhaust it was like going for a ride with the Turbo Gods! It pulled like nobodys buisness. The whole car was impressive from inside to out. I would hate for this car to pull next to me : )

Again congrats on the awesume numbers and one of the nicest G's

What's up Ruben? Good to hear from you again.

Everyone I made a new video tonight, but I am not going to bother posting it up because eventually the bandwidth will get eaten up. If anyone wants to see it just pm me your email address.

Sharif,

Thanks again! You were 100% correct my brother! I turned the fuel pressure down just like you said and walla, the car is running leaner. I turned it down from 42 to 37.5 psi. The car responds a lot better. Chit I could roast the tires in 3rd will doing 60 mph if I stomp it. I got be very careful cause this ***** is dangerous The a/f is still below 10.5, but at least it is in the 10's. What a difference it made going from 9.9 to 10.3/10.4. As per your suggestion, I will drive it a few days to see what the ECU does. YOU DA MAN!

BTW, I just wanted to let everyone know that I beat the car for about 45 continuous minutes while making more vids this evenning. I even took it 130+mph a few times. The car runs great and the temp gauge did not move once. Those of you that already have high power FI motor or are building one.......3" exhaust and an aftermarket radiator should be included in the mod list IMO. The PE radiator has worked great for me so far.

Do you think at stock boost with the Greddy kit that the stock motor would last?

Sure plenty of guys are running the greddy kits on stock blocks. You will need to buy a few things that don't come with the kit to make it safe (BOV, timing harness, boost pressure sensor harness, walboro 255, and a fuel return. Contact Sharif at www.forgedinternals.com. He will get you everything you need to be safe. THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS IS TO GET A GOOD SHOP TO DO THE INSTALL AND TUNE.
