Default Heat problems

I've noticed a couple people talking about heat problems with FI kits. Is this a big problem??? I live in VA and it gets very hot during the summer months. Any experiences or suggestions here?

High flow, low restriction exhausts seem to do the trick with overheating issues. Minimum full 3" custom exhaust including test pipes.

Will it be an issue until I get a custom exhaust?

Most guys aren't seeing overheating issues until they start running 12+lbs of boost with stock or aftermarket smaller diameter exhausts.

At normal boost levels, heat isn't an issue, as long as the car is properly tuned, and you run a zero back pressure exhuast system. This assumes normal street driving.

For those that take their car to the race track, some extra cooling is a good idea. Things like upgraded radiators, oil pans, oil coolers, etc...all play a role in keeping heat to an acceptable level on the track.
