Congrats failsafe306... I hope you get your Z soon! I'll never forget the ride with Irshad in the 509whp black Z, what a freakin ride...

I've been in the FI section for about 2 months now reading and researching as much as I can, trying to make a decision. There are a lot of great kits out there, but it's like a transplant, guaranteed problems down the road. At this point I've decided not to go FI. If I had a spare 15k burning a hole in my pocket, I would probably pop for an extreme setup (new TT, built motor, built drivetrain all the way back). Since I can't afford my preferred setup, I'm just going to be content with my baby. She can light up the 295s at whim, that's good enough for me The more I read, the more I realize the grass on the other side isn't so green. Crossing the road will always be a gamble and will eventually lead to trouble, that is unless you've paid your toll (a well built Z).

Enjoy the power guys!

Agreed, Mark is a great guy. So is Kyle btw. SGP refunded my money for the lost clutch, even though legally they didn't have to. Stand up guys.

Tuan is putting miles on it this week and will tune Thursday or Friday, and I'm picking it up this Saturday.
Did you get the Aquamist through GRD and did they install it? Can you me give me any idea of cost? Did you do this to for an extra measure of safety/reliability with FI?

I bought it barely used from Gman2004, but GRD installed it. The reason is because I can only get 91 at the pump where i live, so with the w/i I can tune more aggressively while still using 91 since the water injection cool the intake charge and fights off detonation.

I sold him my Aquamist 1S system. I had installed on my car, but I never used it (10 minutes on the dyno). Mark from SGP does not like to tune for WI because if something breaks or malfuctions you could have a problem. I told him that I didn't want to use it to tune more agressively, but rather for safety. He assured he can deliver me a reliable tune with out it, so I sold it to failsafe.

I wish I could re-title this thread; or better yet, delete it!

Oh well, here's an update. Tuan is putting more miles on my car all this week and will tune it on Friday. I'm picking the car up on Monday

Quick Trips sell 93 octane in Tulsa. (I'm a transplanted Okie)

Happy boosting!

Oh geez, will someone please delete this thread?! Hahaha. Yea, I should have taken it to the "900ft Jesus" for some healing

Oh, and unless something has changed over the weekend, QT still only has 91 That would be a nice surprise though!

The QT at 81st and Memorial still sold 93 last time I was there.

They had been offering 93 for some time since I remember tanking up my modded Busa (13:1 compression) back in 2000 and I have a modded StealthTT I was driving back down when I was transferred that I filled up during Thanksgiving 2004 with 93 octane at the same location.

I'll be up there again before the end of the month and I'll try to check for you. Those 2 extra octane points really help me.

I also sprayed denatured alcohol to get me through the times I couldn't find 93 when I lived in OK.

There is also another station in the southern part of the state on I-35 that sells 93 but I don't guess that would help you ....

Oh, yea well if you haven't been here since '04, you're in for a big disappointment. They switched to 91 only everywhere in the Fall of '05.

Thanks for the condolences everyone!
