btw, just so you know, those housings that APS used are your standard T3 exhaust housing (unknown a/r) and a T04B compressor side. i noticed that the wheel inside was much larger than it shoudl be for a T3/T04B, and now i know why.

but at least now you know the housings. they obviously have been machined out to accept the larger wheels

i thought it was either a gt35R or a gt2835 hybrid? its getting torn down and inspected and measured anyway, maybe even getting a larger compressor wheel.

Hmmm I suppose its not likely the compressor is hitting the surge limit at 4500 so is it possible that its just an issue with the turbine running into too much backpressure? I'm not a turbo expert but do turbines have a surge limit and could it be that? Certainly there should be plenty of air flow to keep the turbo spooled. Any sign of surge during operation?

bc he explained that APS told him it was a GT35r wheel in their "custom" housings. and when i looked at the turbo i said to myself, "wow thats a big wheel for a T3/T04B"

now i know i wasnt mistaken when i thought it was a big wheel

I automatically assumed this was the TT kit as well. I am one of the few that actually has the APS ST properly installed and so far haven't incurred any issues. I wouldn't mind dropping by so you all could see my car and how everything was done....just a thought. Only problem is my car is getting rear bumper fixed and is in the shop for the time being and I just dropped it off so it'll be back next week. Good luck getting things solved. I've only heard good things about Zfever by the way...

why don't you call APS up directly?.... they have worked directly with installers before on solving install issues..

Hey Zman, let me know if you are in Tampa. I'd like to see your APS ST too.

in a nutshell, some weren't happy that APS was getting so much free press without becoming a sponsor of the site. It was a pretty hot topic for a while.

looks like james@aps has been banned, too, but they're over on motoring. maybe you should take this discussion over there, if you haven't done so already.
