Default Question about customizing EVO2 for FI

I'm going to be getting my car back from GRD soon, and for the time being I'd like around 550 whp. Since the new APS exhaust and test pipes won't be available by the time my car's ready, I'm wondering if it'd be benificial, for the time being, to ditch the crosspipe section of the EVO2 exhaust and have an exhaust shop make that section true dual, just for the sake of having less back pressure.

IMO, leave the exhaust alone for now. It really wouldn't be worth the trouble if you will need to take it to get retuned anyways. Besides, I don't think it would make much of a difference. Have Tuan tune it the best he can with the greddy and when you get the new APS setup get it retuned.

I think I want the new 3" setup as well. My car just went under the knife on Friday. Hoping APS starts shipping that exhaust soon. My car will be done in about 3 weeks, which is the end of Oct, which is supposed to be the time that exhaust should be available.

I'm going to be retuned either way; I'm thinking about getting the utec or EU when I get my exhaust.

So how long did they say your car will be?

What's your reason for going Utec or EU? Scalable for your injectors? I have heard the unichip is superior to either of those

Ill be also doing a custom evo setup. I like the cans and overall look. 2 1/2 all the back is good enough for me.

The Evo II has 2.25" piping.

Damn. Well I suppose 2 1/4" true dual is better than 2 1/4" that merges into a ~3" right in the middle.
