Hi,
Familiarising myself with R4 software off-line i.e. not connected to car.
Using Underdog Guide, I have followed set-up steps to:
* Create New Customer
* System Settings->Display Mode->Vacuum/Pressure
* System Settings->Application->Prog. Signal Calibrator
But I have checked Output Settings which are not supposed to be changed (unless E Model FTC which doesn't apply) and the image below displays the default settings.
My question is twofold
a) Are these default output settings overwritten when I upload the map from the SplitSec box
b) Do I need to change any values - the URG implies not.
Oh and BTW, Ive looked at the attached WORD file to the post by teh215 on 5/11/05 which states:
"Namely, you must change the System Settings display mode to "Vacuum/Pressure" and you MUST change the Output settings so that the auxiliary fuel pump will come on. To do this, set the Over RPM to something like 2000 rpms and the Over PSI to 1psi."
So I'm confused as to why URG doesn't mention this?

OK thanks for that helpful info.
I am however surprised that the Underdog guide which otherwise seems an excellent document misses this crucial step out.
I am further surprised that obviously you can download the 2000rpm/1psi values to the SplitSec box during a 'write' but these are NOT uploaded back when you do a 'read'.
What I was expecting was that the first time you do a 'read' the values whatever they are (lets assumed 2000rpm/1psi ) would be uploaded into the appropriate fields so that I could see what the default values in the SplitSec were.

Thanks
I got off my a** and did some digging and came up with this thread, which has a few contradictions versus 'system setting->application mode' (see backagain's map post) but I think gets me going in right direction
- I'm gonna set to Programmable Signal Calib. BTW
