Default Best Gear Oil and shifting problems

I keep on having trouble lately getting into second gear at the track, I'm still hoping that I have developed the stupid habbit of releasing the clutch before I'm done shifting...but you never know. It's not grinding it just won't go in as if I'm hitting a gate.
First step I want to do is change out my gear oil to synthetic since that has helped quite a bit on my last car.

So the Questions is: What gear Oil should I get (I got an Enthusiast with stock LSD)

Also has any one else had this second gear problem and how hard is it to check if the synchros are going bad on the Z and what else could this be?

on a upper note I hit a 1.662 60' last night....yeah!

i had the same problem of my very first transmission on this car. i bought it brand new, 220 miles on it (dealership exchange). i picked it up with 5th gear noticably grinding. that one was replaced at 3k. but before it was replaced, anytime i tried to powershift into second from first, it REFUSED to go in. it wasn't bad at first, but over the course of 1000 miles or so, it got to where if the car was over 4k rpm, it would not go into second even pulling as hard as i could. sounds like a synchro issue, but don't believe that b/c i am not a mechanic.

on a side note, how the hell did you get a 1.6 60ft? please say street ET's or something. i pulled a 2.0 on stock tires and i thought i was god for a couple of days.

Been running Royal Purple, Max Gear, 75W90 in my 6 speed and the grind into 2nd was eliminated.

I also run the same stuff in the rear-end too.
