Default Who does their own maintenance?

On boosted G's or Z's, I'm finding I have to do everything myself if I want it done right. Its so hard to find a shop that will do everything you expect the right way without standing over them, all the way down to just a simple oil change. I'm starting the think that a requirement of going forced induction is knowing how to do routine maintenance as well.

I agree 100%. I don't trust anyone with my car....especially the dealer.

Bring it up to us. Its a bit of a drive, but you know it will be done correctly.

I surely will, just frustrated cause I found out that the shop that installed my TT kit left two bolts out of the transmission

holy hell. i would be pissed. i have never let anyone touch my cars!! the only thing i take it to someone for is to mount tires. i even do my own alignments. always build my own motors, do my own painting, and anything else that needs to happen. for me it is much more satisfying to learn to do stuff on my own, get all the tools required, make sure it is done right, and knowing if you ever have a problem with it you know how to fix it. luckily now at this point, my work is better than 95% of any "professionals".

The bset is probably to have the guys that did the install do the routine maintenance stuff as well, they know the car and mods so will do things right.

None of it is really that complicated, either, once you actually get in there. I'm in agreement. I don't like anyone else working on my car.

Geez...the tranny bolts are different lengths, so they likely started impacting them on....and then went...woops....the last two are too long/short...and said screw it. Sad...

Tell The Tech's that buchered you car - Use Sharpie and put the Clock position of each bolt on the head of each bolt.

Or 1 =1 2=2 3=3 etcetera....

Every bolt needs to go back in the same position.. Dumb asses..

Cheers Amy -
