Supercharger for the stock 300hp?
I currently own a 2005 35th Anniversary with the stock 300hp. I have a dealership in town that can install certain superchargers but at this time we are unable to find anyone that makes one for the 300hp Z. All of the superchargers out are for the stock 287hp. The 300hp is setup slightly different than the 287 hence the kits that are out are not compatible for the 300hp Z. Does anyone know if any supercharger kits are in the works for the 300hp Z? I would assume there would be one seeing besides the 35th Anniversary, the track version also runs the same type of setup.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Vortech is designing a kit for this motor it is in the works, if your looking to do the a turbo set up the APS kit works along with the Greddy and Turbonetics kit. If either of you need anything let me know.
After some research this is my conclusion from the three top choices for superchargers:
Vortech - Received an e-mail response, they have not decided whether to make a supercharger for the 300hp yet.
Procharger - After receiving several articles about their superchargers but nothing regarding one for the 300hp, I called them and they said possibly late this year or early next year will a kit be ready.
Stillen - After a couple phone calls, Jason in the Sports Car division said there will be a kit available sometime early next year.
Beyond that, nothing else is confirmed at this point and no one has one availabe right now.
I decided to go the route of keeping my car NA. I have been working closely with my local dealership (made a very good friend in the service department). I am just going to shell out some funds on upgrading various items on my 35th anniversary. Mainly with Nismo products, I know they are quite expensive but my dealership is going to cover everything (warranty wise) and take care of me there. So as long as I don't move, I am in good hands.
