Default More drama with my install

Ok everything has gone soooo fuggin smooth so far! Ive been waiting for my new wheels so I could take the car for a spin after finishing up my APS TT install. I was short on Power steering fluid. Its 5 and nissan is closed! I really want to take this biatch out for its first spin! So I run to the parts store and ask the guy for some PS fluid for my G. He gives me some and Im off! I pour it and Im like a kid at Christmas! I get the wheels on and drop the car on the ground. Starts right up! I start to back her out and I get the PS whine! Oh no!! Its like I have no fluid in it! I called a buddy and he *****es me up and down about putting the sheit fluid in! He had a bottle and a half of Nissan fluid. I ran to his house and flew home in a hurry. I drained all the crap out and flushed the system. Put the goods in and start her up and still have the problem!!! Im out of ideas! Whats your thoughts?
Here she is all dress with no place to go!!!

crank it up, turn the steering wheel back and forth, and keep adding, might have some air in the system somewhere.

Sounds like a bad nightmare. Did you start the car and run it while having someone turn the steering wheel back and forth (ALL the way right and ALL the way left) REPETIDELY, while topping the resevoir off untill it is full and the whine stops?

Agreed with everyone else; air in the system. Just fill it up, turn the wheel back and forth a few times, top it off, repeat until the lever no longer drops. Mine did the same. Took two minutes.

the foam will clear easily. the bubbles will always rise and will be clear by the time you wake up for sure. but, the whining is prolly from a loose belt. if a new belt was used it will stretch and need to be checked a few times till the stretching is done. if it is a used belt it may have not been set to the right tension, which is quite a bit in this car.
btw- your rig is looking bad ***. i'm sure you will have alot of fun with it.

Thanks guys, the more I think about it the more I think its air. The system was EMPTY! I also pulled the line under the tranny to make it easier for the motor to come out. Im sure once I get that fluid Ill be on the road!
