Default rc 560 injectors and aps actuators?

ruffly how much power do you guys think i can squeeze out of the aps actuators and would it be safe to take them to the max?

im building my engine now with pauter rods and cp pistons 8.5.1. was wondering what you guys think i can sqeeze out of the engine.. also does anyone know where i can send my heads to get them ported for a good price?

I squeezed 470whp with built motor (8.5:1 pistons, cams and aps plenum) and stock aps fuel system with upgraded wastegate acuators.

I am in the process of upgrading the whole fuel system with 1000cc injectors.

If you motor is out you might as well upgrade the actuator and upgrade the injectors to 650's. Changing the actuators while the motor is out will be easier and less expensive.

Who is building your motor? Didn't you go with SGP? SGP can do the port and polish.

I would guess that the 650's would be good for around 700whp. Sharif made 622whp with his 550's. I think by the time that you get your motor back APS should be selling that actuators. They will come with the new tuner kit. If they are not available you could always get the custom one that everyone else is getting from torqe freaks.

From what I have seen most motors without cams and headwork are in the 500-550whp area.

470 is low - what PSI and are you running stock cats?

I am having my lower end built right now - 8.8:1 pistions and will be shooting for 500-525 at 12 psi. I am putting in 10 lb actuators, have UR crank pulley, plenum, test pipes, and APS exhaust

I believe it was around 11psi and we were running out of fuel. Remember I am running low compression pistons (8.5:1) with metal head gaskets.

There is definetly ALOT more left in this motor, we just need the fuel!

This still seems low. dropping to 8.5:1 shouldn't make that much difference. Did you lower compression through the head gasket or did you dop lower compression pistons in, both? Also, are you running stock cats?

No at the time we were running test pipes. I since added a set of RT HF cats. I should have the fuel system done this week, I will post new dyno numbers then.

Is that on 91 octane or 109 that is stated in your sig? Congrats.

paranormal-
It seems like there are so many more choices available now. If I had it to do over again, I'd buy 9:1 extreme Duty pistons. The Pauter rods are doing the job, but there are lighter rods out. I would also upgrade the actuators and cams/springs while the engine is apart. Good Luck,

Bruce

Nice car RT.
I remember when that car had a Stillen SC
How much & where did you get your RC injectors?
Do you have the TF(Garret) 11.5 pound actuators also?

I got the Garrett actuators from Jason at TorqueFreaks, here in Portland. His number is (503)546-9900. I also just spoke with Kelly at Perfection Motorsports in nearby Hillsboro, and he said they have succesfully fabricated EXTERNAL wastegates for the APS kits. His number is (503)848-2707. Good luck.
