ok good. i just thought that it puts strain on the engine so the engine may not last too long. guess im just a noobie
When your cruising at 70-80 mph on the freeway, your not putting much or any more strain on the car with FI then stock. When your off boost, the car should drive like stock. Only when you at higher RPMs or when your foot is down on the pedal will the turbos start compressing air into the engine and thats when power/torque is made. Its also when there is more strain on parts.
I have for 16,000 miles! Oh, and over 150 passes down the drag strip, 3-4 road racing events and a drive from SoCal to Texas...and I still get 20mpg average...no BS
My '00 Lightning was FI from the factory and I drove it everyday. When it came to showing off, I never showed it any mercy. Still was running strong at 60K miles.
I think it's possible to have your F.I. car as your daily driver....however I'd still want a back up. Honda Civic is my DD...APS TT Z is my fun car. I considered the Civic part of the "mods" to going F.I. since I commute one hour every day.
