Default HELP with turbonetics kit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have an 04 350 with the turbonetics kit. i am setting codes and have tried everything that i can think of to fix the issue. the codes that i am setting are p1031,p1051,p1148,p1168. here is my question, who has an 04 350 running the turbonetics kit with the 6 pin harness for the top 02 sensors instead of the 4 pin harness. when you did the install did you set any codes.

i have even sent the ecu back to turbonetics to redo the reflash, and still have this issue.

please help.

I think MIAPLAYA has a 2004 350z with the kit. I hope it is an easy fix. Good Luck.

6 pin for the top O2 sensor? Are you sure its an 04? Sounds like an 05 with the wideband front sensor..

on the door it shows that the car was built in 1/04, but my senors are not the same as Darren at Intense Motorsports who has a 03. he has the 4 pin sensor and is not having any issues. the 6 pin sensor has 02's and A/F readers in them, were the 4 pin is just for 02's.

Right what I'm saying is that you have wideband O2 sensors which I thought only came on 05 Zs..What ECU revision do you have?

not sure which ecu revision that i have. i called a nissan dealer here in phoenix, and they said that with some of the VQ's that when you unplug the ecu and plug it back in it does not read the sensors after that. they have to down load a new ecu map and reflash the ecu. this will wipe the reflash that was done by turbonetis, so that will have to be redone. they said that they have seen this a few times but i does not happen with all the ecu's. i must have just been the first lucky one with the turbo kit. i will let Reggie know at turbonetics that they may start to see more of this as people install more of these kits. the thing that sucks is that you can not tell before turbonetics does the reflash. hopefully this will fix the issue and i can start to enjoy my turbo that i installed 3 weeks ago.

I would highly recommend you do NOT allow them to put a stock flash on...I sincerely doubt this is the case....I'll try to reach Jhame this week (kit designer) as most of the other guys are at SEMA this week.

why would you not have them do the reflash back to stock. they said that i could leave the car at the shop while the ecu is sent back to turbonetics.

Oh in that case ok...I thought they expected you to have it flashed to stock and then drive out of there. That I would NOT do...

I heard that the different 02s were on 04.5 models and up, not just the 05.

I saw that on the motoring site. No idea. I haven't tore anything down on the engine yet. Don't know much from first hand experience...yet.

ok i found out what was setting these codes, the fuse for the o2 sensors was blown.

now i am setting 3 new codes
p1273
p1284

these are A/F sensor bank 1 and bank 2

from what i have read i do not need to worry about these, is that true?

the last code is p0300

random missfire, from what i have read thie is also a code that i do not have to worry about.

are these codes that every one else sets? if so how often do you set these codes?

Yep, I get all three of those codes. Have you dyno'd yet or do you have a wideband to verify your A/F ratio? I'm guessing given the O2 codes you'll find yourself running a bit rich. Glad you got things figured out.
