Default NX Intercooler Kit on Turbo

Hey I was just wondering about this, you can see my setup in my sig, is it safe to be running this on my setup? I got the kit for free off a friend of mine who sold his sti. I was planning on putting it on for show mostly but wanted to see if any1 here has used it and how safe it is to use periodically.

Edit:: NM

I would just be careful of when you spray it. If the car is running and you spray it some of the nitrous may find its way into the intake for the turbo essentially turning it into a dry shot and making you run lean.

i thought u were supposed to use this system while stationary, super cool then IC then go on your track/run.. i heard that if u use it while driving, then you risk sucking up the NO2.. but should be ok with C02.. no?

Technically you would be safe with Co2 but I think I remember one "Internet Engineer" mentioning that if you spray the co2 with the motor on although it wouldn't hurt the motor it could displace some of the oxygen on your intake tract and make you run rich. But then again someone has to always come up with something. I think its fine with either as long as you spray it in between laps not during.

I don't see what the problem is spraying when your moving. If you have that on their why dont you tune around the spray. So, you might be running a bit rich when off but when you spray you are right where you want to be.

I think both ways spraying stationary or moving are very good. They produce some amazing gains.

Am i wrong? (not sarcastic)

Well the problem with the n-tercooler spraying while actually lapping is that it is an inconsistent amount of nitrous that MAY or MAY NOT enter the intake tract. The kit was designed to cool off the intercooler when it starts to get heat soaked. Most people started by going in to the pits and spraying it then getting back out on the track when the car had cooled down a little. Then people started spraying it while driving or on the dyno and people started seeing hp and AFR spikes because some of the nitrous was getting sucked in by the compressor inlet. Because its such an incosistent amount its VERY difficult to tune around it.

If you use the nitrous to cool off the intercooler before you race, is safe. If you do it while racing, you can lean out your car. plus IMO its looks cheap
