I was just wondering since some of you have made the trip to SEMA, AEM never discussed the possible debut for the EMS for the 350z car?
I'm still wondering whether this may ever happen
. It would be a great time to do so with the release and competition of other newcomer tunning units on the market.

who knows seems like they do not want to put something out that has problems, it might be good that they are taking their time they rushed the S2000s boxes and pluging the EMS in meant the water temp gauge did not work and other problems. They ended only making when ordered. I would like them to get this system right it works so well on the Civics and Integras it would be great to have on the Zs
I don't get the impression that they are working on it at all to be honest with you. I purchased a universal EMS a while back because it was advertised that the Universal supported the cam/crank timing pattern of the VQ35. When I received it and poked around for more info, this turned out to be untrue. So after discovering that little fact, I spoke to an engineer who asked me to get an oscilloscope so that they could study the timing patterns. I spent the money for the device, but when I received it I decided that it was too much trouble, and went with the Emanage instead. I have since sold the scopemeter, and the EMS.
So, what can we gather from the story? Well, you ask one person at AEM how it's progressing, and they tell you "we're working on it!". Then you ask another person, and it becomes painfully obvious that they haven't worked on it ever since they got their one drift car done (year or two ago). They did one VQ35 with the EMS, and they pretty much hacked it in a rush to get it to work before an event. (They had to grind off a cam tooth to get the EMS to sync with the motor)
There are numerous other issues with getting the EMS to work with the VQ, and the bottom line is that the EMS firmware and software have a long way to go to support all those features. Everything the EMS does is geared around being a general all purpose EMS, and doesn't really have too much specific code for one car line. (VTEC, and some rotary stuff is the exception) It seems doubtful that the EMS will support the 350z within the next 2-3 years, and they may not ever do it honestly...
