Default Stillen SC - to install or not install myself?

Just thought I would see what others have to say about this install - I'm debating whether or not to perform the install myself. I am not claiming to be a mechanic by any means, but certainly don't object to getting my hands dirty. I did own a Eclipse GST a few years ago and did enjoy modding it from time to time myself. Any input would be appreciated...I've heard mixed opinions, but for the most part people have stated it was a fairly straight forward install and a few have paid, but agreed they wished they had done it themselves after seeing it done.

Thanks to all @ my350z.com for their continued input, Peace!

Did you get the instructions for install from the other guy by fax or do you want me to email them to you in a .pdf file (acrobat file). give me your email and I will email them now.

I heard the stillen sc is a easy install. If you know the 350z engine, I would do suggest u do it yourself.

James, I PM'd him and asked him to fax them to me. In the iterim, I contacted Stillen and they were kind enough to e-mail them to me (Thanks much for your generous offer). My biggest issue now is that I bought the Stage II used and since I don't know how much the previous owner may or may not have removed, I will most likely have to go through what's in the package and determine what's missing. Needless to say, the parts list is like 2 pages long. I know I have the SC, the intercooler and I believe the 'piggy back' for the ecu coming Thursday and some hose/piping attached. It's all the nuts/bolts/brackets, etc. that I am worried about. I have an e-mail into Stillen asking if I can buy everything that accompanies the SC & Intercooler as that would be much easier then trying to determine what's missing and ordering it piece by piece. As of today I believe I still got a pretty good deal on it (about 3K for a polished SC Stage II)...but only time will tell. I'm anxious to see if/what Stillen can or will do for me...so far, I must say they have been fairly helpful on the phone.

Thanks again, Peace,

That's a pretty good deal. I sold my un-polished Stillen SC for $2300.

I had it installed at Stillen but un-installed it here at home.
After taking it out, I realized I should've installed it. Everything is pretty straight forward.
A few things I'd suggest:
1.Solder the 3 or 4 connections
2.Get new bolts to mount the lower plenum to the intake manifold
3.Depending on how old the kit is, you may need to upgrade a few parts(pump, idler pulley, belts).
4.Make sure your pulley is for the same year.

I always buy my parts from Kenny at Stillen. his extension is 185 and I am sure he will sell you all the brackets and bolts seperate if you ask him. Their supervisors' name is Jeff.
