Default Looking For Itty Bitty Boost

which turdbo kit comes configured for the smallest amount of boost? the non-intercooled greddy kit is setup for ~6.5 psi, i believe; i'm not sure the output on that though. bottomline, i'm a ***** lookin for about 350 to the wheels and/or 350 ft/lbs, nothin more, and i don't want to do nitrous again. no sc's either; they r teh slow. thanks.

whatever you do, make sure you have an intercooler. I would not recommend getting the Greddy kit w/o it.

I agree on both counts...Either of the single turbo kits would be a good starting point. I personally have the Turbonetics kit and if you keep the stock exhaust on look for power at the wheels at 8 PSI of boost to be about 365-380. This kit is tuned very safe and is a plug and play kit. ALthough either of the kits will get you there.

The Turbonetics kit requires no hacking to fit. The only major mods are to the fuel pump assembly to get the Walbro pump installed and working. Besides that the Turbonetics injectors plug into the facotry injector harness, the drop into the stock fuel rails. The intercooler fits with the stock bumper brace without any changes. everything bolts right up. The downpipe bolts to the facotry b pipe.

As far as I recollect... Greddy is 5.5 psi non-IC and 6.5psi IC

Power enterprises comes out of the box with 4psi and no engine management.

i too was going to start a thread like this... only difference was i wanted 400rhwp... could that goal be safely attained by some of the kits on the market? sorry to threadjack man... i'm more concerned about reliability since like some of the guys here i cant afford to be bringing the car in and out of the shop due to engine problems.

if that is all the power you want and dont ever ever want to go higher, i would recommend the vortech, the reason some guys are slow with it is cause they dont have the right tire setups and with that much immediate torque they are spinning like crazy.... just my 2 cents, but i would never say i want to stop at a certain horsepower though, thats just crazyness

i think 350/400 hp, tuned, would b fine on the engine. i'm nore worried about the tranny, that's y i want to keep it around 350 hp/torch.

vortech, huh? i thought as linear as a centrifugal is, u wouldn't spin much. turbos just have so much more area under the curve not to go that route.

I have the PE TT and I am doing 350 RWHP on Mustang Dyno, about 4.8 boost, base kit (intercooler, etc) no reflash, no tune, about 10K daily driving 50K total miles, no problem so far. Smooth idle, instant start, power on tap. 20.5 avg mpg. (led foot).

The manual tranny can easily take the power. There are people running 500+rwhp with no tranny upgrades and no problems.

Fuel regulator/upgraded injectors/fuel pump put out enough fuel when accel to keep AFR rich. Ok for low boost, must have reflash or engine management for higher boost.
