Default APS ST owners, where does your dipstick enter?

Hey guys, just curious. I know with the APS oil pan I was told my oil level would be different. Mine seems to rest right around the (First) swivel on the dipstick. Just wondering if this is a common position. It hasn't moved noticably since my oil problem started so it isn't like "Oh crap it's dropped all the sudden".

Just general curiosity if other people have it between the H and L or if it rests below that meter.

I think mine shows low but I can't check right now. It's in the shop.

dont get me started on this.. i wonder how much oil is being cycled to the turbo's when driving. being that the oil lines are on the bottom of the oil pan the turbo's would get the oil even when running low?

So does anyone know how to read the dip stick with the APS oil pan installed? I am having it installed right now on my car and I would like to also know how to check the oil level. I have read a few posts that said that our L mark on the dip stick is the full line when this oil pan is installed.

That's correct. I've had mine installed since August, and the "L" line is now the full line. If it is over the L, you have too much oil in. When you change your oil, put in exactly 5.5 quarts, no more. If you look at the installation instructions, it will tell you this as well.

The oil lines are taken from right side of the engine next to the oil filter where the pressure sending unit is. The return lines go to the top of the oil pan not the bottom.
