Default Where to get TN kit

I checked online and found the cheapest to be around 4700 shipped. where can you get them for even lower?

planning on purchasing a z withing 1-2 weeks and then turbo it... i'll be happy with 380 hp @ wheel.

Yes like Mia Playa said, Avalon sells for 4300 shipped, then Mossy sells for 4200 + shipping, Shipping is pretty expensive since the box is huge and weighs 107 lbs!
But you better hurry these prices are going up in a couple of weeks.

when buying the kit make sure they actually stock it! i paid on 9/22/05 had some problems with my debit card. so payment should have went through on monday. i got the kit first week of november! i'm still waiting on my stoptech brake kit.
all the other little things i ordered came about a week before the turbonetics kit.

for the wait i would have just paid alittle bit more. i got my kit from avalon racing. service was good. i just never got any updates or any tracking numbers! i should have asked if he had it in stock before sending money. i figured he had it cause he was doing a special on them.

anyways; i finished my kit yesterday. what a rush! got to go back and tighten some bolts. i hear some rattling.

this kit is great.. i vent my wastegate to atmosphere though.

you will need ford style fuel/ac line quick disconnects. everything is real tight in the bay so life will be much easier if you have different style wrenches

More precise boost control, and better boost stability and slightly more power...less backpressure.

Actually Turbonetics tested this on their Dynapack on my car and saw no gains by venting to atmosphere.

i did it just for ease of install. i figure if i ever had to undo anything it would be 4 very cramped bolts i would not have to remove!

to remove downpipe you will have to remove the 2 bolts at the wastegate discharge and then 2 more at the downpipe.

Yeah but where did you vent it out to? If you just didn't add that pipe there... Well that could be dangerous if you are just venting back into the engine compartment.

Power gains at low boost are probably minimal. Higher boost cars benifit the most. Boost stability is nearly always improved, and the chances of spikes is also minimized.

Very true...I was speaking in terms of the out of box kit. And Peking is correct. If you did not make a tube to route that vent outside of the engine bay BAD things are going to happen. First and foremost if that gas melts through the vacuum line you aren't going to have boost control and you could potentially 15-20 PSI of boost at that point which is NOT good. Secondly if it is venting right against the block you can plan on MUCH higher temps. That gas is in the thousands of degrees F and should be treated as such when planning the wastegate dump.

my car has been running for only a few days. i didn't have the splash guard on. making the dump tube today. the wastegate is flipped 180 deg. kind of pointing to the middle of the radiator.
i will cut a hole the splash guard. i was going to route it over in front of the left wheel but didn't want to cut a hole in the bumper.
