Default Need FI Kit info

Disclaimer: New to My350Z.com (not new to Forced Induction)

#1: I can't figure out where the search function is first of all. Is there one and if so, where is it?

#2: Is there a sticky or a thread that discusses all of the FI kits available in detail with pictures, websites, and pros and cons? If not, then maybe we could make one?

#3: I'm in the military and currently deployed. When I get home in Jan 06, I will be buying a Z as well as a FI Kit. Money not being an issue, which kit should I go with. I'm not planning on doing any internal build ups. I am planning on upgrading exhaust, flywheel/clutch, pulley, etc. I would like to upgrade the fuel system to a "returnable" system with larger injectors as well. Which kit is for me?

PS. I had a 2003 SE-R Spec V that ran 12.9 in the 1/4mile (Turbo Charged at 10PSI 270WHP/270WTQ).

Thanks in advance,
Shane

I found out how to search now. I've found plenty of threads on FI now. Thanks anyhow.

Welcome to the forum.

There isn't a sticky with every kit listed with its pros and cons. It was tried a few times a while ago, but people were always arguing and debating about it, so it lost its purposes and was either locked or deleted.

Are you looking for a TT, ST, or SC?

Since you plan on going with a return fuel system, I would suggest the Greddy TT with FMIC. I'm not being biased, but IMO the Greddy kit is the most user friendly when it comes mix and match. The greddy kit is more of a tuner kit than a complete kit. Once you get the extras that it needs, like boost controller, return fuel system, fuel pump, bov, and it would always be nice to upgrade from the blue e-manage to a e-manage ultimate or UTEC, you could go to 450rwhp pretty safely. And it would cost you about the same price as other "complete" kits, but in this case you would have a full return fuel system, and an ems of your choice.
Here's a link to a very knowledgeable vendor selling the Greddy kits with everything it needs to make it complete: https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....82#post1891982

If you want a TT setup that you can just put on without buying any extras, then the APS TT would be a good choice. The only downside I see in the APS TT is that only authorized unichip tuners can tune it, and there are only a few. If there's a unichip dealer in your area, then you would be alright.

If you're looking for a ST, then the APS ST and Turbonetics ST are both great choices. The only downside to the APS is the tuning again. The Turbonetics ST comes with reflash for your ECU. If you're going with the Turbonetics, then I would suggest to get the Turbonetics Tuner kit, and do the same thing as for the greddy... get a return fuel system, larger injectors, e-manage ultimate or utec, etc.

For superchargers, the Vortech seems to be among the "best" one's, but I'll let someone else chime in for the S/C's.

Here's a link to a thread where everybody thats FI is listed, in categories of type of FI, and brand of FI.
