effectiveness of zeitronix unit
how reliable is the zeitronix unit? i wanted a stealthy look for my g35c and was wondering if the zeitronix unit is accurate and sufficient for now? any input from people who have purchased it or know about it will be appreciated.

The wideband for the Zeitronix is very accurate and reads into the 9 to1 A/F . Unlike the AEM that had . It DOESNT jump around like the AEM . The Boost gauge works very well . The Zietronix is a low cost unit that uses top quality sensors . It can data log A/F , EGT , and boost for tuning

is there a difference in accuracy compared to the defi bf gauges? i'm asking because the defi gauges are really costly and i'm not into the whole a-pillar look.

I run the zeitronix and like it. I recently hooked up the boost sensor to it because I was sick of seeing the boost sitting at -25 on the display. It is a nice little tool. You can hook into your palm via the new pocketlogger software or a laptop with the software that is included with the zt-2. This will allow you to datalog boost. AFR, RPMs, TPS, EGT and whatever else you have hooked into it. I have mine wired into my ECU knock sensor as well
The LCD is very easy to read and IMO, sits very nicely in the center dash cubby compartment (obviously if you have navi, you have to find a new place for it)
The one thing that I would like to see the zeitronix do do is allow dual wideband inputs. It displays lambda and AFR on it's displa., I would really like if I had the capability to run a wideband off each bank and have the LCD display both.
IMO, if you don't get the zeitronix, I would only really consider the Innovate unit. My good friend runs that and it is a good unit, but is kind of flashy with all it's blinking lights. I prefer the look of my zetronix unit, but both are good choices. The Innovate might be a better choice for you if want your AFR gauge on your pillar. I would take the opportunity to buy 3 other gauges and put the zeitronix lcd in the cubby.

I went with the Zeitronix because of the following:
1.) LCD display. It fits nicely in the cubby and since I had three other gauges I wanted on my pillar, I didn't want another round gauge face. On top of that, the display will read out boost, AFR, EGT and user input.
2.) datalogging capablilites: The innovate does this as well well, but I don't know to extent, but I knew the zeitronix did what I was looking for.
3.) the zeitronix interacts with my Palm that I have pocketlogger software for, making it easy and convient for me to datalog without needed a laptop.

Tap the knock signal wire with the blue wire (pin #12 ) and follow the install instructions with the unit and it will display as "user input" in voltage. Normal voltage is around 2.55 or so. If you knock, you the voltage will spike or drop.

For me, I want to get rid of EGT. I would guess with some "massaging" of the software, you could get it to display anything you wanted. I will have to ask some of my more computer litterate friends to look into it.

Before I had my boost sensor hooked up, the unit would switch between boost and user input. I don't know if it was the way I had it hooked up, but it would start up on user input and switch to boost on longer drives. I need to play around with it more now that I have the pocketlogger ready and the boost gauge installed.
