Welcome to the club and congratulations! I cannot think of anyone who deserves it more. Did I miss the boost level? Also... 93 octane?

oops, just saw the boost (16.5) in your sig. It looks like 16.5 is the magic number!

i have a set of drag radials that i am currently running...i also get no traction with my street tires...
the bf goodridge drag radials are 295/35/18..they grip great when warmed up a bit, i just did a little sprint about 5 minutes ago, spun in first a bit, shifted early, spun a bit in 2nd, shifted early, 3rd gripped hard, 4th pulled hard, broke traction for a second but definately launched me forward with a vomit inducing propulsion

thanks tim..i saw your article, very cool!...i'm running 101...even though i could run a mix of 91 and 101 (my timing is still fairly conservative)...running 101 for extra safety..and not much more expensive, so i figured the extra money per fill up is well worth it!

Nice work Todd.

Funny story.....last night, I was having dinner with my GF, when my cell phone starts blowing up. I am like WTF is going on, but I kept silencing the ringer becuase I didnt want to be rude while having dinner. Anyways, after dinner, I look at the phone, and Todd has called me like 5 times, and left a very simple text message: "615whp" and I just started smiling!

Nice job Todd....welcome to the club!

I had all this good news and nobody to tell!!! you know the feeling, you were the first person i called when i blew up my stock motor (immediately after calling the tow truck), you and i spoke on the phone daily when i was frantically trying to get parts for my motor...you were there for me when i broke three ringlands on my forged motor... and you were there (after several calls) when i broke the 600mark on a fairly conservative tune and 295's!!!

i'm expecting to be the first person to call when you break into 700 and 800rwhp...don't let me down

so, to be exact, my last dyno, i had a stock radiator, 3" dual exhaust, no plenum spacer, large boost leak, good amount of timing advance...made:
552rwhp, 548tq at 15.5psi on 91+101 oct 50/50 mix
notice how the hp peaks at 5300/5400 and than stays steady and tapers off a bit toward redline

my current setup, koyo 3 row radiator, motordyne plenum spacer, fixed boost leak...I made:
615rwhp, 575tq at 16.5psi on 90% 101, the rest the mix, so close to 99/100oct
...with less timing leading up to the torque peak..less timing!!! i am not pushing the timing to the limit, could probably add another 3-4 degrees throughout and make even more power, for now, this is enough, if i could just get my boost controller to be consistant..and hold boost steady!!!
notice how the hp builds up top even more

so, fixing the boost leak, keeping temps cooler, plenum spacer, +1 lb of boost: yielded a 63hp and 28tq

Try a manual boost controller. It will solve your control problems.

Excellent dyno results Todd.

One of these days I'll have to take a ride in yours or Sharifs Z. 600+ Sounds like too much fun.

Tony, hurry up and develop some iso-thermal heat attracting paste that we can apply to our tires. We need traction!
