No you need to get the shavings out. Use a vacuum if you have to.

Ok so I will get the shavings out and the hole does not need to go through the block right?

The one where you removed the stock oil pressure sensor? If so no. You will have one hole that you created with a drll and tapped. That one goes all the way through. The other hole where you removed the sensor you just run the tap in and out slowly to widen it a bit and install the tee fitting.
