Default need advice, big plans ahead!

i just acquired a 350z with a built motor by SGP(upgraded short block, no head work), Greddy TT kit, 550 injs, AAM return, Emanage Ultimate, and lots of other goodies. I plan on putting the built motor in my car, here is the problem. Ive got a few choices. my goal is 500-550rwhp.

1. Just swap everything over from his car to mine, thats motor, TT, fuel system, management, etc, etc, and have a car that has dynod 500hp, take it to sharif and let him fine tune it for more. easiest and most reliable choice, but, its been done before.

2. swap the motor, injectors, fuel system, ecu stuff, and keep the APS single turbo and ditch the unichip. then id have a car setup that hasnt been tried yet, who knows what the turbo will do on a low CR motor. maybe it will make 500rwhp, maybe it wont, but if it doesnt i can always have a larger wheel fit on it.

3. swap only the motor and injectors, and keep the APS single, thats why i asked earlier about the limitations of the stock aps fuel system. kinda risky choice.

im gonna use a JWT clutch/flywheel combo. the car i bought comes with a 3" true dual exhaust already, so i can use it with the tt, or sell it if i choose the single.

so whatever i decide, the rest has to go. that means there are gonna be a lot of parts up for grabs here soon, either a greddy kit with lots of extras orr an aps single kit, RH C4Rs, veilside v3 hood, possible veilside bodykit, gauges, wideband, stock motor, tranny, etc. and then ill probably part the car out, and just sell the shell for nothing.

any ideas?? oh yeah, the 350z has been wrecked, thats why im having to swap things over.

I would go with option 1. Its a proven setup that works and you know it makes the power you want. I'd say swap the whole thing over. The Greddy's will be capable of plenty more then 500 if you decide to go nuts later on...

sell both APS ST kit and GREDDY TT kit and get yourself an APS TT kit you will be happy and you can get a from Peter.

seriously, not saying that Greddy TT is a bad kit but the engineering of APS TT kit is near perfect.

damn, you suck! i never thought of going that route, id still want to ditch the unichip and go with the e-ultimate, there just isnt anybody around here that does the unichip yet. youve really got me thinking now.

ah hell, i could just get the tuner system since id have my own fuel, ecu setup.

tuning the unichip is also a problem for me either. I'll be going with HYDRA EMS when it releases. I talked to Andrew from Hydra and he told me that the HYDRA EMS version 2.5 will be released in January '06. It is the safest and most reliable way for getting over 500whp and going FI on VQ35DE. BTW Version 2.5 will support all the ECU features as well as Drive by wire and will come with a base map to make things easier for us.

Doesnt the Greddy kit have more potential than the APS as far as making big power ? If so...stick with the Greddy...cheaper , less hassle in the long run

the tuner kit comes with 12psi actuators, and they say its capable of 800, IIRC, but it really doesnt matter, ill only be able to make between 500-550 because i wont have cams or headwork. so its really doesnt matter what kit has the most potential i guess.

probably be easier, cheaper, faster, as in less downtime, with the same gains, just sticking with the greddy.
