Exclamation help after turbonetics install

My single turbo will be complete tomorrow and I need a little advice with the initial drive. There isn't a dyno anywhere near, so a long drive would be in order to get to one, I have all the proper monitoring gauges, EGT, BOOST, wideband 02 a/f, so I can monitor if I know what the proper settings each gauge should be at. Also, is the kit tuned such that, I can start driving after the install, as of now all I am waiting on is my ecu to get back.

If you have all the proper gauges I don't see why you couldn't drive. Just take it easy in that first hour and get it tuned properly...then romp on it after dyno confirmation..

Congrats and enjoy!

Exclamation

What exactly is involved during the tuning process??? Is the dyno basically for bragging rights?

The wideband will be the gauge to watch. If you do any boosting, the AFR should be 11.5:1 or richer generally on pump gas. Also make sure your boost is what TN specifies in their instructions. Other than that, you cannot tune anything without adding a piggyback computer.

There are a couple of shops in the Northwest area, so not that far to drive... Considering there are many of us from the southside that drive up their and through traffic LOL.

Mainstream Performance, Knowledge Performance.

Gun it and make sure your boost is at 8 psi consistantly, does not matter what gear... And make sure your wideband is in the low 11's at WOT. EGT kinda depends on where the probe was placed. That should be enough to let you know that you are on the right track.

I did alot of this on the highway or straight roads I was familiar with and had little to no traffic.
