Default NX N-Tercooler

Does anyone have experience with this product? It mounts to the front of the Intercooler and Chills the intake charge. Does anyone know some real HP increase #'s with this kit? It claims approx 50Whp. Anyone?

works great on the dyno and in very high humidity climates

An article in Import Tuner was about a supercharged G35C that installed the N-tercooler and the difference in dyno numbers was somewhere around 50 or maybe even 60whp. Ill try to find the magazine (it was like a May or June 05 issue).

The only thing is the kits can run on N2O or CO2... Don't know which works best but using N2O could cause the intake to suck in some of the gas and really throw the air fuel out of wack. I would imagine the best scenario in using the sprayer would be right before a race to get the intercooler really cold, or to use it in between drives to get rid of heatsoak.

ya the intake tends to suck up some of the nawwzz and can lean you out abit. one reason for some of the big power # increases too. if you did just use it right before a run or something though you might be ok.

I have the CO2 fitting on my bottle so I won't be using Nitrous to chill things down especially since compressed CO2 is a fraction of the cost of Compressed Nitrous Oxide.

Do you guys think I need a heater Blanket for the CO2 or is that mainly when using Nitrous? I guess I need to call Nitro Dave back tomorrow and ask him.

wouldnt spraying NOS at the intercooler make your car lean out, If your car is tuned to a certain AF?

As long as nothing goes into the intake then no. With the APS TT setup it would be very hard to get NOS into the intake. Im sure Rob at Z car will do a before and after on my car like he did on that car in the mag with the same system.

Z Boy,
H2O/Methanol Injection is ALOT more expensive and not just a simple bolt on..... I would venture to say it is a bit better though.

isn't it particularly good for preventing detonation, moreso than spraying the intercooler?

Maybe so, but if detonation occurs with the NX then I would be VERY suprised.

and with methanol, you can spray while you're driving, whereas with the intercooler sprayer, you spray before you pull?

No actually, the NX Chiller is sprayed at WOT, but some of the previous posters were saying that maybe if you sprayed it before the run then you could avoid ANY possibility of getting Nitrous or CO2 into the intake.

That car made about 66 more RWHP with the intercooler being chilled. 435rwhp to 501rwhp. (Extra care was taken to make sure none of the NOS made it into the intake)

how could you possibly get nitrous into the engine via a nx intercooler???
if that would be true than you would also suck in water when driving in the rain.
The nx intercooler sprays onto the intercooler not into the intercooler.

i've read if the intercooler is close to the intake, some of the spray can migrate over to the intake.
anyone know the cost of the typical intercooler sprayer and meth injector kits?

I paid EXACTLY $552.20 for the NX N-Terchiller with the NHRA blow Down Tube and Fitting (mandatory for interior Bottle Mounts if you want to pass insperction) and the NX Purge Kit. My Bottle has the valve for use with CO2 since its MUCH les expensive than Nitrous and the Temps are basically EQUAL.
The Purge Kit is NOT a Necessisity for this application, but it sure puts on a good show............

Also, I purchased my Kit from www.nitrodaves.com
