The Turbonetics Evolution gate is a 36 mm valve so that and a Tial are basically the same. The Turbonetics NewGen gate is a 50 mm valve which is even bigger then the 48mm Turbosmart gate that Jetpilot used. By only 2mm of course so not a WHOLE lot different. But I think the Newgen is cheaper.

Hey Mia my tuner said he can safely tune my car for the boost spikes so I shouldnt be worried about it. Also that the map sensor that I got with the UTEC will know when I am boost spikig therefor sending a signal to my injectors to allow more fuel. Does this sound right?

He also said that he would never release an unsafe car because it would be his *** and not mine. They cover all the work they do.

Ok well TECHNICALLY yes with the UTEC reading pressure it should be altering your tune to compensate and that MAY be ok for now.

Well thats the thing bro...theres NOTHING wrong with running 11-12 PSI on a stock motor. The TT guys have been doing it forever.... its a matter of having the right tuning to make that 11-12 PSI safe. If the Utec reads MAP and alters the curve when it sees 11-12 psi then sure you can run that all day.

I have been having overboost problem also. My installer also suggested that the WG spring might be failing. I havent been driving my car much lately. I need to find a fix before I feel comfortable driving it again. Awaits for the TN fix.

Also, MIAPLAYA, you mentioned about a new TN down pipe for the O2 sensor code fix. Is it available now?

It is...Reggie can get it to you...what exhaust are you running? Also there was a recall for 04 ECUs for it throwing O2 codes when it shouldn't have. I think three guys have had the dealer reflash the ECU to fix it and then send thier ECU back to Turbonetics to get the tuning flash re-done...

I have the Amuse Ti-Extra. I have a 04'. Should I bring my car back to the dealer and have the ECU reflashed? Maybe I should PM Jason at Perf Nissan about this.

How would I get the new down pipe with the O2 spacers?

Reggie can get it for you...just call them and tell them you have the old downipe without the O2 spacers and they will overnight you the new one. As for the codes if they still show up after that you need to get the TSB done and have Turbonetics reflash the car again..

BRING BACK THE DEAD!

Im having this same issue and its driving me mad!!! Tried flipping the wastegate to dump to atmosphere and it did nothing to help. I still hit 10-10.5 Psi in higher gears (3rd+).

Im running a single 3inch straight exhaust with no resonators. Its pretty much wide open.
