I dont know how much of a sleeper it will be with the grill cut out, a Varis air duct, wide 19's and a loud a$$ exhaust Im back and forth on leaving the stock grill in or cutting it out, any opinions for me guys?

Do you already have the Varis Air duct? If not, I'd skip it since there is a big pipe there now instead of an air filter. And as for the grill, I still have the mesh in my Vizage bumper. I asked if people thought it would impede airflow at all and the concensus was not. I'd leave the grill in. cutting it out will make the opening look tooo.....open.

I already have the Varis air duct. If I use it with this kit Im gonna have to hack this nice CF and eliminate the tunnel behind it. I really love the look of the duct, so mean on the stock or Nismo front end. As far as the grill goes I still cant decide, part of me wants a semi-sleeper, the other part wants to just show it off, we shall see....I know the stock grill wont impede flow its just for looks.

I posted that link in another thread. They were the DEI 2"X50" roll, and 14" zip ties, I bought 3 packs of those ties.

BTW-my t-bolt clamps just got to my house! I have to wait to get off work to install...

No problem-for some reason it wouldnt let me copy the entire link....btw 1 50ft roll was enough for all of the exhaust tubing, and the first 2 down-pipes. But if you want to wrap the downpipe that connects to the exhaust system you'll need another roll....

After fuking with the charge pipes, specifically the passenger side entering the IC and the charge pipe coming down by the pullies Im finally getting full boost. With the 3" exhaust Im seeing no higher than 9psi, so that is good, no overboost for me. Bad news, its kinda wet out so I couldnt stay on it without breaking loose. My A/F down low to about 4000rpm is in the mid-high 11's, at 4K it stays at 12.0-12.1 until about 5K and it dips back into the 11's at around 11.6-11.8. I wasnt able to redline any gear due to the wet roads and spinning around 100mph. Im a little concerned with the 12:1 A/F from 4-5K thats a little leaner than I would like. Im gonna hope to get a dry path of road tomorrow and see what happens near redline, I know the flash goes richer up top.

BTW-I dont know if my charge pipes are a little short or the coupling is short, but it needs to be about 2" longer, either one of the pipes or the coupling. Even with the correct t-bolts and much aligning I was going out and blowing the coupling off the pipe some causing a boost leak and 5psi boost. Its finally holding, but I need to get a longer coupling so I know this wont blow off. Any thoughts comments? MIA-what are the chances TN could send me a longer 2.5" coupling?

Which pipe and coupler? As for the AFR make sure the gauge is calibratd right...is it in the bung supplied by Turbonetics? What is your fuel pressure showing at?

Edit: Did the car ping at all? What type of gas? I've seen people hit those AFR numbers with cheap gas in the car...after filling back up later with good gas it was perfect. Also how much gas in the car? If its near empty the pump may be having issues getting gas to it....fill it up if its not...

Fuel pressure is 58psi. I had decent gas in the car, and I just filled up 1/2 with Sunoco 93. The car didnt ping or hesitate at all, but I couldnt really go to redline like I said it was wet out. I recalibrated the guage for a 2nd time yesterday, Im at about 15.6 a/f @ idle....

As far as the pipes, its the pipe going from the passenger side of the IC to the charge pipe that runs up to the intake pipe. That pipe doesnt connect very well to the u-tube coming off the passenger side IC. I had to adjust it several times and finally on like the 25th adjustment and 3rd drive out it held boost, but I would feel much better having a longer coupler. Its not a straight one its the one with a hump/flex in the middle. The pipes line up perfet, but the coupler is just too short for comfort. I guess Ill see what a/f is to redline tomorrow, and see if Ill need another flash, I think so though...

Your AFR sounds alot like mine. 4-5K was in the mid to low 12's then it would get richer. I hope you get it fixed soon. It could be the flash or the wideband o2. I would bet its the ECU flash but thats just me. I can't wait to get my car fixed so I can just floor it to feel the full boost. Good Luck Alberto.

Did you have TN reflash your ecu? What other mods do you have? I have the TN kit, JIC 80mm single exhaust, Crawford plenum and UR crank pulley. What was your A/F near redline? And did you boost it this way to redline? Thanks for the info....

15.6:1 is pretty lean at idle if thats your constant AFR. I can see if it fluctuates to that but you should be at 14.7:1 at idle. You are just about 1 point to lean at idle.... Maybe the wideband is not reading right? Seems kinda odd to me. If you subtract 1 point from the AFR numbers you listed your AFR is dead on. As for the coupler I can see if they have another one they can send you but from helping install a G kit I know both hump couplers are the same size.

I only had the one flash with the kit. I didn't want to go back and forth with flashing. Now I got the UTEC. I have the APS plenum, and JIC 80mm dual tip exhaust. After 5k rpm I think the AFR went down into the low 11's. I have to check my dyno again. Tuan didn't push it past 5k after he saw the lean condition on the dyno.

I didnt even cailibrate the Innovate WB with the sensor in the car even after not driving for 8-10 hours(lik eInnovate suggests you do), I pulled it out of the exhaust and did another free air calibration. Its a shame Im about 1 point lean, I wish I could get on it more, but I think Im gonna have to go easy.

Regarding the coupler, its not that I think they sent me the wrong on or anything I just wish I had a longer 2.5" coupler for those 2 pipes. If TN cant get me a longer coupler Ill have to buy one....

So will TN flash me again?
