TT vs ST
Is twinturbo for the Z really better than Single turbo?? obviously, my Z is not FIed, i would just like to ask for your opininos from both sides of the argument...
obviously, more is better than less..but wth, my frd's supra is single turbocharged and he said it is much better than TT....
just wanted to ask~
thnx

i think that smaller twins would spool faster than 1 big turbo, but it all depends on what ur aiming for. maybe u want the boost to kick in later so u dont shave rubber off ur tires every time u hit the gas all at the starting line. its still fun tho.
both are good. ST is easier to fit generally, while TT will have better low end spool. V6 configurations however makes the TT a logical choice since it has 2 banks of cylinders, one per turbo.

with the single turbo, you're using the full 3.5L of displacement in terms of exhaust flow and thermal expansion to spool the turbo.
With a twin setup each turbo is run off a bank of 3 cylinders and 1.7L displacement. So while they're smaller turbos, there's less displacement, and therefore less thermal expansion and exhaust flow feeding each individual turbo.
If you would to track your car, like HPDE events, i would say TT for the crisp smooth response, and way less lag.
or if your gonna build a horsepower beast you should choose TT (until someone fits a T88 under our hoods, this will be the best idea)
now you just want a faster street car, dont want that instant 3k booost go with ST...more lag,but offers a nice kick once in boost.........
