Why aren't people getting pipes according to how long they have been dealing with this problem?

I think they wanted to try the pipes on some local cars to confirm everything was working as expected.

I am hoping to get them soon as I have the car scheduled to go into the shop again and I really don't want to cancel on them again if I can help it!
Pretty soon everyone will be getting their tax checks and it will be difficult to schedule shop time at all for a while.

You'll be wasting money on that Tial wastegate...the relocation is what fixes it. Not the wastegate size..

Is Turbonetics going to make a permanent redesign on the kit, or are they just all going to ship with this additional pipe? I would really like to see a cleaner solution in the future.

From what I understand, this fix *is* the redesign to the kit. I don't know that I'm the biggest fan of having piping intertwined around the sway-bar either, but it is a viable solution that dumps to exhaust rather than atmosphere, and if you've ever heard a dump to atmosphere, that is a VERY good thing.

The fix is only a request as of now I just ordered a kit and they are not sending the overboot fix . I am just going to dump my wastegate to the atmosphere.

If your overboosting then that won't help you one bit.

This fix is being sent out now to those that have the issue. The fix will be part of the kit starting early March or whenever those currently having issues all have their pipes. So short answer yes the fix is permanent.

+1. You should re-read the thread. I tried this and hit had little effect. The problem isn't with the flow capacity of the gate, it's the location of the gate. Additionally, unless you'ver actually heard it, you have no idea how loud an atmospheric dump is...you won't want to drive like that all the time, it gets annoying.

I have one on my BMW M3 it does sound all that bad.....the reason I thought the overboost problem was cause of back pressure I guess Im wrong .

Or maybe the wastegate is to small Im sure a larger one dumped to the atmosphere would correct the problem like a 46mm Tial.
