Default Does Greddy FMIC Remove front brace?

I am not to familiar with the Greddy TT kit, but from my research I have seen that the front aluminum brace gets removed for the FMIC. Is this true? Does it hurt performance?

The only performance it would hurt is your car performing saving of your *** in a frontal crash, which will be easier to get into with all that power. UPGRADE YOUR BRAKES!!!!

According to Sharif with some custom fab work it can be kept, but he did not ellaborate on how much that would run you. Another option is to buy it without the intercooler kit, buy your own core and do custom piping for it. Probably still expensive. With the Greddy kit you will eventually have to buy stuff like fuel system, BOV, better EM, fuel pump, etc. Since you will have to buy it in any case, you may want to look at APS tuner kit. It would probably run you as much as the Greddy with custom work to keep the bumper support.
Without it the I/C will bear the hit in a frontal colision. I do not know how much more damage will you be susceptible to w/out the bumper support. Hope this helps.

P.S. That Sharif guy I mentioned, he is the resident Greddy pro. Any question about it, he will have you answer.

I saw a low post count, so I don't know if you know it by now...
Just trying to help.

Unfortunately, the front bumper brace needs to be removed. The issue is not the thickness of the intercooler, rather, is the location of the twin entry design of the intercooler. With a fair amount of custom fab work, it can be kept, but its not easy.

Also, Greddy took their price up on the kit by about $400, so that special pricing I was running will be about $300 higher.
