Default Return kit or larger injectors

Just curious where the money would be best spent. I have the Turbonetics kit (@9.5psi), and I want to bump the boost without having to build the bottom end. I know the kit ships with 380cc injectors, so those will have to be changed...but should I order some 510's first(ultimate goal is to join the 500 club), or setup the return system. I only have the $ to do one or the other right now.

Also, I'm not sure how those mods will afect the TN reflash. After the fuel system is done, I'm going to get a UTEC and tune it all.

Your thoughts -

Larger injectors won't work with the reflash.

Your going to have to do the UTEC, MAP sensor, injectors, return fuel, tune all at once. They can't be done one at a time.

What't the point of installing a return fuel system now if you will just have to take the intake manifold off again and remove the fuel rails to put the injectors in. The fuel system alone won't do anything by itself.

What's the point of putting in a UTEC now if you will just have to get another tune later for the larger injectors.

They all have to be done at the same time. For your goal of 500 whp your needs would be better served with 550 injectors.

dammit...i was afraid of that. Kinda hard to slip that bill past the boss(wife), especially since she's gonna be the one that has to sign for the packages. Now I have to figure out how to pull this off :P

call your credit card company and have them add your work address to the card... then you can have the packages shipped to work.

the wifey will no longer be a factor

since your talking about limited funds... i would not go 500whp on a stock block, too risky or should I say walking the fine line and you will be SOL when it goes BOOM! JMHO...

Actually if you can wait for a little more Turbonetics has Stage 1.5 coming out that will include 510cc injectors, a fuel return system, and a tuneable EMS with a base map set for 450 RWHP.. R&D is back on with the new guy doing R&D..

No idea on cost yet.. The injectors are drop in plug in like the 380s and the EMS is plug and play no wire hacking or splicing. The fuel return system is the last item they are working on... Final price will be set once they determine what the cost for the return system is...

Its not too far in the future. Injectors have been sourced, only R&D left really is the fuel return system. Once the design is done it will go on a second car for testing and if all is well two weeks later it will ship. Figure a month maybe less...
