Congrats on the install...It looks great. I am considering this kit as well. I was at PM a couple of weeks ago, I have an 03 that is leased and is up in July, I am thinkin of buying it when its up and financing the JWT kit, or getting an 06and eventually install a kit on that. Anyway goodluck with your ride.

Unfortunately, there are no apples to apples comparisons, when speaking of heavily modified cars. Use the article for what it is...a comparison of the various parts and power profiles of the kits.

Maybe you and Zilvia can start a magazine of your own and test all 6 kits. Then you could get the results your looking for instead of bashing other magazines for all of thier hard work because your TT didn't win.

Rob,
Glad you are enjoying the kit.

Just put one on order Friday and am awaiting Vinny's final testing on the engines. My roadster will receive a new engine and JWT TT after Gerald's. The wait in just insane.

Would love to meet up with you at PM when I bring the ZR down to Nick and Vinny.

Paul

It's hard to create a level playing field when it comes to this stuff... I give Sport Z magazine a lot of credit, please remember they don't have a Car & Driver Budget either... I find their tests pretty informative..At the same time I think you have to look at the whole picture... I think as far TT's are concerned... The JWT, Greddy, APS, and the PE will yeild great results with added hardware... I think to spend the money simply on the kit and thats it is a waste of money... I think all of these kits need something wheather it is an exhaust system, upgraded fuel system, Utec, Heads, etc... I think we are very lucky that the Z33 community has huge assortmant of FI...

It's good to see you are a Yankee Fan!... I just got back from the Knick game, oh guess what they lost!

As far as meeting @ PM let me know I live 2 miles away, and work 4 miles away... I'd perfer if you wait till my exhaust mods are done... Hopefully in a week or two

If you were there Friday, you may have seen Brians G35 their getting TT's installed!

My intent wasn't to bash the pub, and my 'TT' kit didn't win or lose... lol My car is far from running an out of the box TT kit.

I just picked my car up today from Performance Motorsports and I have to say the JWT kit is sick!!! It pulls like crazy and I'm only at the 6.8 stock boost. For the people wondering about it not having any blowoff valve, it makes a nice sound when you let off the gas. Sounds awesome to me. I think a very loud blowoff valve would drive me nuts. When I hit the gas now all I hear is the vacuum sucking sound and then a nice noise that follows which is hard to describe. Maybe like the sound a horse makes. LOL

Rob,
You skipped right over my question. I asked what you meant by you comment about the APS "blew up"?Are you saying you blew your motor with an APS kit???
We have spent many hours answering your questions on the phone and via email. The least YOU could do is answer my last question Rob..

FYI, PM would not install anything but Turbonetics and JWT "out of principle"; quote/unquote. And there is no customization, also known as "cutting and pasting" (like a tuner kit with a fuel system/EU superior to what's included in package). Just the bolting-on of the complete kit.

Doesn't PM do PE kits as well. That's what they told me about a year ago when I was there contemplating teh Vortech SC. Unless they stopped doing the PE kits.

Not anymore apparently. I last spoke to them a few days back, and all in all it was a choice between TN and JWT...

Julian...

As I said earlier "I won't go into it" You must have missed that part...

And yes I talked to Jason in late 04 some of 05... Ripped a series of e-mails back and forth a few times with Mike (I probably still have them on my c drive @ work) I spoke to you a few times this year as well... And... Sooo...

I've talked to Jotech, Forged Internals, and Z1 Performance.... Just for different views... Oh and I'm on the phone with Nick from PM or he is on the phone with me every other day.... Soooo.... And.....

I think if you want it they will put it in... They are still dealers for PE... I think the list price is a little high (8200.00 or so) Not sure what they would charge... However they are focused on the JWT, and the TN.... They love these kits...

Then would you mind ellaborating on why won't they do a TN tuner kit with a UTEC and a custom fuel return system? This way it is much more dependable then a simple ECU re-flash, if you know how to tune that is...

They have not made a decision on engine management for there street cars, they have a few things in the works, I can't elaborate as of now...

They probably had a fallout with APS.
