Default is it safe to remove

hey i am trying to diagnose a pulley squealing problem,does anybody know if it is safe to take of the supercharger belt and let the car run with a stillen sc if anybody can help it would be great.thanks

it wont hurt any thing i just would not drive it to much since you really wont be getting any air in.
