Default Exhaust system on turbo

Ok well im in the market for a turbo and working on my funds as we speak. But im curious, I wanna know what kinda exhaust is working best with certain turbos. Im looking into the JWT TT setup mainly right now. But im curious what exhaust will be good NA til I get turbo and need no fabrication once turbo is in place.

What ever happened to that little picture of the search button?
In all seriousness, with F/I, the bigger the better...

Well if you want a good exhaust that will run N/A and still make power on a F/I car, look at APS 2.5" or Greddy evo2 70mm or Borla True dual..If you need one let me know..

Well originally I wanted the borla TD, but changed cause a few FIies said it lost some hp... but none the less if it works good with FI then thats what im devoted to. Which is good cause hopefully the guy I was gonna buy from still has for sell. Another question then, instead of clams should I weld once I go FI?

Actually the borla would be my LAST choice for a future F/I exhaust out of the few I mentioned..We picked up some good power going from a Borla to an APS on a TT car, the extra 1/4" diameter makes a difference.

Why don't you just wait and do exhaust when you get the turbo? If you buy a real deal "turbo" exhaust, you'll lose too much back pressure and make your car feel really sluggish down low until you install the turbos. If you wanted best of both worlds though, I'd probably say APS 2.5" dual. Greddy doesn't make a TT exhaust for the Z as far as I know...

Well im just so ready to get a little more hp, and since putting on the test pipes having been dying to put a nice system to help the tone sound better. Stock exhaust and TPs really doesnt sound bad, but it could sound so much better IMO...

Well, depending on how much boost you plan to run, I suppose the Greddy EVO2 exhaust would handle both N/A and F/I pretty well, if you don't boost past 9 or 10 psi. That combo worked well for my car- N/A and F/I at low boost. Sounds great too!

I suppose they could, but only if you buy an APS Twin Turbo kit.

Haha, weight of an exhaust really isn't an issue with a turbo. I'd imagine it probably weighs pretty close to stock though, maybe a bit more since there's more piping. If you like the APS exhaust, I'd say go for it.

The APS 3" cat back is around $1495, and the 3.5" testpipes (i call them downpipes since they bolt directly to the turbos) are $355.
