There's bit a bit of discussion over here on the forums about a super-coolant which purports to have the following properties and be 'recommended' for FI.
- not water-based
- boils at 400 degrees (not specified if F or C)
- freezes at -50 degrees (not specified if F or C)
- maintains a low pressure water- system (?)
Got any ideas on this - it comes from a seemingly reputable source but I've never read anything on other coolants you high Hp guys are running. Curious

I am running the same coolant that came with my Z....I have added to it. I would love to see specifications of a coolant specific for FI. I am running an APS/ST.
I am not sure, but I would bet that a water-cooled turbo has got to be the biggest heat load that coolant will deal with in a internal combustion system.....have not been able to find anything on the impact of this added load.
To this end I have decided to increase the maintenance on my coolant.....flush every couple of years, and regularly check levels.

It would be more a benifit to increase the heat transfer rate than say the max boiling point. This way it would cool the engine more, and dispose of the heat better at the radiator. If you find a coolant that will run in alumimum and rubber with a water pump - please let us all know.

Well i didn't believe a magical fluid existed either which had a specific heat capacity good enough to convect/conduct heat satisfactorily when compared to good ol' h20 and which transformed to gas at 400 and solidified at -50.
