Can I trust other Tuner Shope (Turbo install)
OK, I've been searching for months and have decided what kit I'm going with (TN ST) only because APS is so far away that if I need anything it'll take time to get to them. Now my dilemma is I have 2 in my area who are a performance shop, well it's actually 3 but the third one is an APS shop.
Shop 1:
I live in an Island and this shop is in the Island which is good. Shop has been around 10+ years and been Modding Honda/Acura, Mitsu..etc.. and now they have shifted to Hyundai (Don't ask me why). One good thing is that they are Authorize Dealer for Vortech/TN. They even have their own Piggyback chip just like Unichip (Which they been pushing but I'll probably pass). My only problem is that they haven't work on a 350/G3g FI, which they said that it won't be a problem for them. Let say if I have a Honda that I won't hesitate to go to them (they did my SC Honda a while back), but since VQ is different, would you let them install TN kit?
Shop 2:
Also authorize TN dealer and worked with lots of 350/g35 but it's 1hr drive. Can't say anything bad and they are also a Nissan Dealership so they know our stuff and at least can get parts very quick.
my only problem is that we all know that there's always something that goes wrong on an FI car, some just minor some are major. and the 1hr drive is far especially if my car is already in limbo. I'm not sure how much it'll cost to tow a car that far. plus if I have to drive it there and leaving the car can be a pain coz it's 48 mile away. The other shop is 5 miles away and it won't be a problem when getting my car fix.
Now let say price is about the same (Local one maybe little cheaper), would you trust Shop #1 ? I mean I see a lot of people install their own Turbo, so I guess they will know how to install it. Please advise, I'm leaning towards the one that is near me since it will be easier for me to get to them. or you would go to a shop that has done lots of them and willing to travel that long.
Sorry for the long post.
also for the title spelling

get triple A and your towing worries should dissapear. i have the gold membership and i get unlimited tows in a year but a single tow cant exceed 100miles or i will be charged every mile after that 100mile single tow limit.
I would go to shop#2 for the initial install of the TN ST kit. Since they have experience with 350z and G35 FI install. 45-1hr drive is not that bad. Also for any minor problems, just go to shop #1 to fix it.

I don't know how far they are from your location, but IMO you should be looking for the best qualified shop not the closest. I shipped my car from Miaim to SGP in Houston, TX to have the car fixed when I fuked up my motor. SGP's repuation speaks for itself.

. the only thing with PM is that the last time I ask for a price for a TN ST with install, they quote me for 7K and that's before TN implemented the Price standard.

I wouldn't worry about MRC not having ever installing a Turbonetics ST. They know 350z's and FI.
+1 million on what MIA said. I'd rather pay more to have a shop with a good rep due the work. If not it may cost you down the road. With that said you might want to check out MRC and see how much they charge. They are big with the UTEC so check out getting a TN tuner kit with UTEC.

Edit: And just to add something. I have now referred no less then 10 people to you for various car makes and kits. I love how you try to clown me when I make a suggestion to one person to NOT go to you cause I'm reading by location but you care less if I send anyone else your way. Give me a break already. I never said you don't have a good rep. I was referring to the Hyundai shop he was talking about.
