Basically I can get a 2005 Nissan Maxima motor for $1500 and I plan to build it but I don't know if it would yeild the same results as if I bought another Z motor to build. I know they are the same engine but the Maxima is rated at like 250hp vs. 287 or 300hp for the Z and is an 05 Maxima engine a rev-up? I'm doing this mainly so that I can save myself more downtime as my car has already been away for about 3 months.

 

Maxima motor will not bolt into a Z. The motor mounts are 100% different.
