Here is an open wastegate on a Supra just to give you an idea of what it sounds like. Its 42sec into the video when the supra is right in the mustangs window u can really hear the open wastegate as the supra flys by the mustang. remember this is about 42sec into the vid

I've seen that before. That is 1 sick mothafuking Supra! The Cobra was doing 160 MPH and the Supra passed it like it was standing still.

 

Agreed by far my favorite racing video. I have probably watched that a few hundred time over the past year or so.

 

I finally got this and the other streetfire vids to work again since they put them up in Flash player instead of Windows media player which wasn't working for me on there recently. I watched the vid a couple times, I can hear it around 42 seconds slightly and also at 1:42 seconds for a longer period of time. At 1:42 I can hear the Supra's turbo spool up and then it makes a whoosh, bov, then whoosh shhhhhh, bov, then a long whoosh SHHHHHHHHH. I'm assuming the whoosh shhhhh sound is the w/g open dumping after the turbo has hit full boost. Sounds pretty damn cool, I don't think I would mind having that at all .

Yeah the exhaust sounds like the wastegate somewhat, but you can probably still tell when the wastegate opens though, I can at least. It's just a harsher sound.

the whistling sound is the turbo...everything else is....well.....everything else.

you don't hear much of the turbo. not with the greddy set up atleast. when the wastegates vent to limit your psi, you basically are running like an open header at that point. normal driving is not compromised at all though, only when the wastegates open.

I scare old people who won't get out of the left lane to let me pass with this... No.... wait a minute.... I pretty much scare everyone. Including Sharif.... he was very scared. Yeah.... I got a 48mm wastegate. Wacha gonna do about it......

Mine are on and they sound mean. I have footage in-car before and after, but I couldn't find anyone free today to film the outside car. I will tommorow granted it isn't raining, if it is I will post what I have, then update with a new video later.

 

For anyone whos confused wastegates sound like a loud whistle when they open and then they just sound like pure race car sound. the sound of the engine is unfiltered. Its fugin loud.
