Day 1. Worked on it for maybe 3-4 hours, gingerly. Had another forum member over who helped me a ton....mlg.
Basically I had nothing done except for the ECU removed and the car on ramps before I started today. Took off the bumper, etc. Removed the plenum, installed the fuel injectors, changed the spark plugs, relocated the power steering cooler, and replaced the a/c line.
It should be noted: we were able to move the power steering cooler without removing the wheel. Actually, the car is still sitting on ramps, haha.
So far, so good. Everything is going well

I expected a couple holdups and ran into one tonight. Seems my perfectly new and unused 9/16" drill bit=teh gone. So therefore, the JWT spacer is untapped for the fitting. Got it drilled to 1/2" or so and can't get the tap in, so I'm just going to bring it to a machine shop tomorrow on my lunch break to have them finish it up for me.
Almost got the cats/exhaust off, just one nut to remove on each side and that's done. Got the oil pan off, got the excess old rtv off and put on the spacer for the oil pickup...so those two items will be an easy kill tomorrow. .
btw....having the tap included in the kit is GREAT, don't get me wrong, but my tap/die set didn't have a big enough wrench to fit the monster tap! Also, I prepared today, knowing Nissan oil pans and the obscene amounts of RTV they use, I got a stiff scraper at home depot, hammered that sucker between the pan and the block, and forced it all the way around to separate the two. What a GREAT WAY OF DOING IT! Last time I took a pan off a Nissan I just used a damn screwdriver and hammered it in. Pan was unusable, but that worked too, lo.

Day 3...got started a lil later than I wanted because I had to track down the ECU, which TN got and sent back out to me THE SAME DAY!
So, probably 4 hours of work.......finished the oil pan re-install with the tapped spacer w/fitting. Did the fuel pump, unbolted the sway bar mounts to let it hang, got the cats off (Those bolts were NOT as tight as I thought they'd be), got the gauges in the pod but not wired fully, started installing a couple of the exhaust pipes.....hmm...what else did we do.......eh I forget, it's late and I gotta work tomorrow
BIG MASSIVE THANKS To MLG9770 for coming by again and helping. This guy is a real trooper....and he doesn't require beer! lol. He's got a damn sweet stillen setup with body kit and nice wheels. Prolly one of the nicest Z's around. Thanks man!
Tomorrow Taurran is coming over to lend a hand, we'd like to get it done, but I think we'll knock out enough to make it a short day for me sunday.
