Bad News......................some good news too!
My car is running like chit!
I didn't blow it up, but it's running uber fuking pig rich. The car was tuned on Saturday in Houston in 50 degree wheather so it's not taking to the almost 40 degree increase in temps too well. It was 89 degrees in Miami today.
I've fouled a set of plugs and I have black soot all over my rear bumper.
Now for the good news. Mark from SGP was flying out to FL for Sebring in March. He is now going to be coming a few days early and he is going to install and tune the HKS FON V-PRO with knock amp, stop tech drilled rotors, and defi d water temp gauge.
Can you say 600whp club?
Mark even spent an 1 hour and half on the phone with me this evening. He emailed me a new map and was helping me tweak it over the phone. We tried for a bit, but after a while and just said *** it and told Mark that I am parking the car and I will wait for him to get to Florida.
I want to give Mark and SGP a big Thanks! I am so impressed with the quality of their work and their A+ service. Sebring is not until March 14th, but Mark offered to fly out this weekend. I told him that I would just park the car and wait till March. I've worked with some great vendors and shops, but I must say that SGP is the best hands down.
BTW, these shipped today. Big Thanks to Chris from F1 Motorsports for the great price and for holding the wheels for almost 5 months. I put a deposit in October right before I blew engine number two. Chris told me he would hold the wheels until my car was done. I called him yesterday and we finalized the deal.
Anyone needing wheels give Chris a call and anyone wanting to build and/or turbo their G/Z ship the ***** to SGP!

Thanks Alberto. With the HKS V-Pro I can put all my worries about the tune and ECU changes to rest. The only thing my ECU is going to control is the windows, indicators, wipers, etc. That POS ECU is not going to have any control of my motor pretty soon.
One more thing. I flew out to SGP on Friday morning, but my ECU didn't make it back from AAM in time so I had to wait till Saturday and SGP put me up in a hotel room. I want to thank Shawn for taking me out to those two excellent resturants while I was in TX. Any one visting the Houston area you have to check out Rick's and The Men's Club. The food was great and the view was even better.
Out of the two I do have so say that I liked The Men's Club the best though.

Hey jorge it sucked that your car wasnt ready for tonight it was awsome. You should have seen how many fast cars were their and they were all ready to run. But hey i just hope the wait is worth it cant wait to see that baby pass 600 whp better get some fat *** tires or better just get some slicks let me know when it gets tuned so i can go see it get tuned.
yo gman, you and me seem to always be in the same boat with these blown motors lol, just never fails, i get my car back next week and i go back after the motor is broken in to get tuned for 500 whp, shouldnt be a prob, if you dont have your car i dont have my car and if i have it you dont, this time we both dont have it lol, w/e we def gotta meet up when your car is done

well japtrix and just classic ideas of new motors and parts, say to break it in for 1000 miles, i have a new clutch, new motor, almost new everything, i dont really know if it would be wise for me to beat on it right away, im thinking from what your saying 500 miles would be the minimum for me but knowing myself ill probs drive it chill under 4 for 1000 i would just feel better in my head and the long run that i did a normal break in, that argument has been beaten to death too many times for me to bring it up on which way to break in a motor but ive had way too much bad luck so im def gonna just do my 1000 miles and try that way and see how it goes
Mark and Shawn definitely take care of their customers. We have a few of thos nice restaurants in Dallas as well. Glad to see the VPro going in that monster. Nice choice of wheels as well.
Jorge, good to hear the HKS going in soon and the fine service from SGP. The more I read about the FCON the more I want to just take the leap and install that sucker on my Z. Very nice wheels!
Good luck!
Ron
Good luck!

Would a UTEC also work in your case or only the V-PRO? Would you have the same problem with the UTEC that you have with the EU? I realize you might prefer the V-PRO just wanted to see if the UTEC was an option.

Now that I am going with the HKS I am not as concerned. I shooting for 400whp for boost controller off 5.5psi, 520whp low boost 9psi, and just over 600whp for high boost at 15-17psi. My high boost will be for special races or when I really just want to embrass the chit out of someone.
