Why Nissan did't include paddle shifter on the Z?

I've seen a 350Z with paddle shifters, I just can't find out were I saw it exactly.
I THINK it was made for paraplegic in a story I once read of a gentle man that was in a motorcycle accident

Here is a 240 with a custom paddle shifter...it might be possible
