New Z owner! have The FI Bug!!
I just got my 35th anniversary a couple months ago. And LOVE IT! I got every option and thought I would be content with the hp. Well not to say the Z is a slouch but when you need more HP ..you need more HP. My uncles has a 03 S55 AMG (supercharged version) and want the rush only FI can provide. Not to sound childish and no I don’t condone street racing! I want to blow people away by bus lengths not car lengths. i got spanked yesterday by a 05 CLK 500 ..And a chick was driving! I need help
I have searched the forums and based on my little experience I want to go with a s/c ..as the car is a daily driver. I have no tuning experience and don’t think I’ll need the ability to upgrade to more HP ..375-425+ HP would be more then enough. I want to run low 13's .. on stock internals and RELIABLILTY! However the problem is I don’t see any REVUP supercharger kits out there!? Will the vortech or HKS work with a revup motor? (stillen went out the door once i found out it required changing the hood). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

few years ago I thought 240whp was great when I still had my celica... then I figured 300 are great, then I got my APS TT on my Z and went to 445whp....now I crave 600whp...it never ends
Get something where you have a fairly easy way to up the power and something reliable like an APS Twin Turbo...you'll love it

any turbo kit will be reliable if done correctly. but i do agree, it becomes addicting!! so the best thing is to get a kit that will leave doors open for more modification. at the hp you are currently looking for, you could choose darn near anything. the single turbo kits come in at an attractive price, but again, once you get used to it and want more, a twin kit will save you money in the long run. much info in this forum, and many people have gone every route there is to take. read more and ask more questions and try to figure out what will be the best option for ya.
some people are very biased on brand on the forums, just use good judgement and you will be rewarded in the end with a car that will exceed your expectations.

get twin turbo.....
since as mentioned in your post, you wanted to blow people away by BUSLENGTHS and not carlengths....well, i dont think that 400ish whp will do the trick...the reason is this, at 2007, M3/Skyline will be out and crazy people will mod the **** out of the skyline and you will again get your *** handed to him like you have earlier to that chick that drove the CLK...(not to mention Z06 will be everywhere soon....)
so, to satisfy what you desire (and as many of the above post had mentioned, that you will want to upgrade more and more) get twin turbo, it gives you a more open route to further modding = more power
just my 2cents

Go TT! You get some much more power than a supercharger. And with the new Turbo's there is no lag, at least I don't feel any!
Also when you 13's do you mean your boost pressure? If your plans are to go that high, take it one step at a time. Start your goal to boost at what the kit you buy is tuned for.

I see, My only hesitation towards a TT is the tuning. I can't afford to lose this car for 2-3 days. I know we can go on forever with which kit is more reliable but considering a s/c is More plug and play then a TT wouldn’t it make sense as a daily driver to go s/c? I’m kind of looking to boost the car and forget about it. I don’t want to be constantly popping my hood looking for boost leaks and such.

If you can't afford to lose the car for 2-3 days, then none of the FI options will be suitable.

Boost leaks are a feature of a faulty install, not a specific type of FI

BTW, where in NY are you and is your car stick or auto?
I don’t mind giving up the car for days for install but have heard of horror stories where multiple trips are necessary for minor tweaks; it’s not much of a big deal as it’s more of a inconvenience. I understand I will have to sacrifice certain things as the car is no longer in the same condition Nissan intended.
I am in Manhattan, New York and its a Stick.

MRC is good. That is the only local shop that I would let anywhere near my car, and trust me, I spoke with a lot of local shops.

If you get a quality kit like the APS (I'm pushing for APS because I still believe it to be the most complete kit for a daily driver with potential to go way up there...) and you go to a good install shop/tune shop you will be happy for a long time with no problemas
My car still drives absolutely normal under every day conditions, the MPG has not gone done, if anything has improved a bit due to a better tune. But if I want to hit it, it hits hard and relentless....

As you say above... you have little experience . A SC is a good place to start . But if I were you , I would do all the research on boosting cars you can . And what ever kit you decide on , be ready to have a problem or two or three or four . The install can be perfect , but a part in that kit maybe bad or go bad . It isnt going to be a stock reliable car once you put a FI Kit on the car
