Default JWT TT @ 7psi + Motordyne ISO Thermal Package = 19.46whp!!!

I recently ordered an ISO Thermal 5/16" Plenum Spacer, ISO Thermal Throttle Body Heater, and ISO Thermal Aramid Gasket from Tony @ Motordyne Engineering. Well as a favor for Tony I did a before and after dyno with the product, heres how it went...

I turned my boost down to 7psi on the JWT TT kit because of rain here in Vegas and I drove over to a local shop to do the test. This was done on a DynoJet with 4th gear pulls.

The baseline before the Motordyne stuff was 364.31whp and 331.60wtq. Immediately after the first dyno run, I started working on installing the products. An hour and a half later it was time for the 2nd pull. The second pull produced 383.77whp and 334.87wtq and it smoothed out the HP and torque curves quite a bit!!! And after the run, the upper plenum was cool to the touch.

Superior products from Motordyne Engineering!!!

CLIFFS NOTES:
1st pull = 364.31whp & 331.60wtq
2nd pull = 383.77whp & 334.87wtq
Gain = 19.46whp and 3.27wtq

I am trying to find someone with a scanner so I can scan in the dyno sheets, but if I can't find one by the end of tomorrow I will just snap a picture of it. Stay tuned!

I noticed similar gains with my Vortech setup after adding the 1/2" spacer.

The only difference there might be is that after working on the car for 90 minutes to install the spacer the car had that long to cool down ... was your water/oil temp the same for both pulls?

The oil and water temp were the same for both pulls, I let it warm up to temp before doing the actuall pull. The plenum was a lot cooler, but thats the point of the ISO Thermal stuff .

Sharif,

I've got the same setup if you want to experiment with my car. (As long as nothing breaks ). I really think it'll help even out the airflow to the cylinders so that the rear cylinders are not leaner than the front. Since I'm not using the FCON, which I believe can adjust cylinder to cylinder fuel, I'm hoping it'll help to still provide a clean tune (w/ the UTEC).

You must be sick of all my reminders, but there is a spare lower collector aramid gasket in the trunk.

(This post is related to this thread so it doesn't count as bugging you about my car! )

I recently cracked a weld on my original Crawford plenum, and am currently running a stock plenum. Initially I didnt think there was a difference (power loss) at all, but now that Im able to drive my car daily, I can feel its slightly slower. Thanks for posting this, I just may order the 1/2" spacer today

Motordyne 1/2" is a monster spacer... If you get a wild hair, dyno your beast before and after. I'd like to see what gains you make with it with no tune adjustment.
