Question Mod Help

Hey List,

I'm looking to my next phase of modifications and would like to hear some comments on the install of the APS TT kit, RPS - Turbo high performance clutch or ACT or Centre Force or Exedy, Light Weight Flywheel, HKS - Hipermax II Coil Over Suspension or Tein Flex kit and the Quaiffe – Limited Slip Differential.

I currently have a few things done to the car, APS True Dual 2.5" Exhaust Cat Back, APS Cat-Delete Dual 2.5” Race Pipes, Hotchkis Sport Sway Bars, NISMO Rear Under Bumper, NISMO Front Lip Spoiler, STOP TECH - Stage 2 Brake Upgrade BREMBO Drilled, K&N Drop In, NISMO Side Skirts, NISMO Radiator Cap, NISMO Thermostat 350Z, APS Tall-Boy Balanced Distribution Inlet Plenum, Lightweight Stock-Size Crank Pulley, Samco Radiator Hose Kit Blue, STILLEN Engine Damper, UTR Carbon Fiber Radiator Shroud, Techno JDM Style Rear Wing, TEIN 350Z Hood Lifter Shocks, APS Tough Boy Strut Tower Bar, Lightweight Lug Nuts, Racing Hart J8 PRO Spec 2 19x9 Bronze Front Rims 26mm Offset, Racing Hart J8 PRO Spec 2 19x10.5 Bronze Rear Rims 26mm Offset, Toyo PXT1R 275/35ZR19 Front Tires, Toyo PXT1R 285/35ZR19 Rear Tires.

Anyway my real question is with this list of modifications and the addition of the APS TT kit would I be in any trouble of blowing the engine if I do not strengthen the bottom end. I am currently of the opinion that I will not go to the extent of engine building as I should be satisfied with the approximately 400RWHP that I should develop with the APS parts working in union. I would also like to know if when I do install the APS kit and dyno tune the car if I would need the use of a Unichip programmer. I do have a Consult II Nissan computer that is quite capable to many changes but if I need to have the Unichip programmer at hand for other changes I would like to look at purchasing this as well.

I don't have the advantage of finding a tuning shop as I reside in the Cayman Islands but I do have access to a Dyno and also have the slight advantage of being the local Nissan dealer, hence access to the Consult II.

The installation will be completed by our local mechanics and then dyno tuned locally. I would like to hear any comments on the necessity of bottom end strengthening on a stock tuned APS TT kit and also any comments on the Quiaffe or alternate drivetrain upgrades that would keep the car as hospitable as possible. I would like to keep drivetrain noise to a minimum and drivability to a maximum as I do spend some time in traffic each day.

I've been through the forum extensively and it seems a lot of people track their cars and thus drive train options are based on track times more than traffic times so I would like to hear any pros and cons on the various Clutch/Pressure Plate/Lightweight Flywheel options of various members.

My goal for the car eventually is the drivability and performance of a 911 Turbo as much as possible. The handling is unbelievable now with the suspension mods and wheel/tire combo, I would now like to increase acceleration and hopefully maintain drivability.

Thanks for your help,

Wayne
