sja177,
"Were you running the 3.12 pulley as well? Maybe someone who knows more about technosquare will chime in."
I have the 3.12 pulley with walbro, 440 injectors, fmu/ aux fuel pump and had it tuned by AAM and the A/F is around 11-11.5 accross the board.. This set up however has left me with a fuel press of about 80 psi under no boost conditions and raising up beyond this under boost.I questioned AAM about the fuel press level and they said it's fine..???

wait so is the fmu/aux fuel pump what came with the original vortech kit? the tuner kit has nothing fuel related at all.
I'm not totally sure what all the normal vortech kit gives you because I have the tuner kit as well

edit...Ok ..you must have the aux. pump running all the time , to have a psi of 80 when in off boost

you have to supply , a fuel System , and EMU

Booger,, no the aux fuel pump does not run all the time...When the new pump and injectors were installed the fuel pressure went up to 80 psi..I didn't plan on an 80 psi fuel pressure in fact I was surprised by it.The S.S box is installed and like I said it controls the aux fuel pump...The pump does come on and raises the fuel press above 80 psi during boost..

If you just stick a walbro in the tank, the fuel pressure will raise but only at idle and very low RPM and engine load. The 350z runs a constant 12v to the fuel pump. The 255lph overwhelms the factory intank return system and causes fuel pressure spikes when the engine is hardly burning fuel.

the only problem is that it will cause the car to idle and cruise rich at low RPM.
the reason its so high in the first place is just like i said, the ammount of fuel from the 255lph overwhelms the factory fuel pressure regulation system. Once your moving and the engine is burning more fuel, the pressure should go back down

The Turbonetics has the installer modify the stock FPR to get a base fuel pressure at idle of 58-59 PSI. Under full 8 PSI of boost from the turbo my fuel pressure gauge at the condensor shows ~50 PSI of fuel pressure...

You should get the fuel return system though to reduce that fuel pressure. Maybe once you get that, you could then sell the fmu and auxillary and buy a walbro
