Default Strange occurance?

Today i took a friend for a ride to see if he could locate a noise (he said it sounded like a normal vacuuum sound and that im just a paranoid ****er). So he wanted to see how the car felt with the new exhaust/tune. I boost for him and it cut out in 4th like the TC is on. I check and it's off. So i boost again all is well. We get on another road and i boost it again and really watch the tach to make sure im not hitting the limter. At 5500 RPM's the car cuts like the TC is on again, but i verify that it isn't. My bud was watching the wideband and said it was at 11.8 so i don't think its lack of fuel.? Does anyone have any ideas what this might be or where to start looking?

what if your gauge is incorrect? Also, do you have sufficient air flow? I have heard of similar problems when the system is starved for air flow but still showing correct numbers. Air or Fuel....

Do you have a modified fuel system?

With the Utec its definitely not the MAF going over voltage. I would start looking for a leaky pipe.

lol at the revival.. it has been 3yrs now and I hope he found his problem.. I'm curious what was his PSI, he might be over boosting and he's hitting his Utec overboost cutoff.. back then (2006) TN had major problem with overboosting.

LOL pretty old. I don't even remember this problem. I am sure it was solved when the car was hydrolocked and totaled.
