Getting FCON or UTEC: reflash back to stock first?
Well guys, I'm going to either have the FCON of UTEC installed on the 1st of April, and was wondering if I should have my ECU reflashed back to stock before I make the trip to Texas. As far as I know, I just have the L-spec reflash which removes speed limiter and raises rev limiter, but was also flashed for my 650cc injectors and maybe some other things with the fuel and timing, but I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure you can set the rev limiter wth both the UTEC and FCON, right?
I guess I'm just asking if it would be better to start off with a clean slate to avoid possible tuning problems when I have the new ECM installed. Also, if I DID get it reflashed back to stock, would it be safe to drive 6-8 hrs if I took it easy and stayed out of boost.

I don't know about the UTEC but if you get the FCON you don't need to flash it back to stock. If you get the FCON the only motor function your ECU will control is your DBW. I have the L-spec, idle raised, and timing maps flash, but I didn't flash them back to stock.
